Karlovy Vary

On Saturday we took a little trip across the border to a spa town in the Czech Republic called Karlovy Vary(Carlsbad). It was very, very cold, but we had a good time. They have hot springs flowing through the town and people come to "take the waters." You can buy a little mug to sip the water from. I thought it tasted pretty gross. S was completely tuckered out by the time we left, but O had slept most of the morning bundled up in the stroller, so he laughed most of the way home.

Uh OH

Two days ago O said his first word: uh oh. At first I wasn't sure I had heard him, but then later he said it again. And then again, and again, and again, etc. This is quite fitting for his first word because he's always making a mess and destroying everything. I love this time of babyhood when they begin to talk. It's so much fun!

And to assuage my Mom guilt, I will say that S has started occasionally repeating a simple prayer with me at meal times. It's so sweet!

Sunday Mornings

Why is it that Sunday mornings, the day of the week that is supposed to be the most restful and holy, is always the craziest time of the week? Generally anything that might go wrong to keep us from making it to church on time does. I'm usually sweaty and exhausted by the time we're all in the car. Thankfully the munchkins always look adorable dressed up for church. This next week I will try (try!) to be more prepared and relax, because really by now everyone is used to us being late every Sunday.

Cuties

I've been trying for several days to upload these pictures, but it wasn't working for some reason, but here they are. A few nights ago, S wrapped himself up in this blanket and said, "Daddy I'm angel. I'm S(his name) angel." It was so cute! The funny thing is, he's completely naked under the blanket! I don't know if it's normal or not, but he's always taking his clothes. I think it's probably because that's how we potty-trained him.

I was a little worried about posting the picture of S and not posting one of O, but luckily he did something cute too. Somehow O got E's robe stuck on his head and was crawling around with it on. I suspect he may have done this on purpose. He is turning into quite a character; always trying to make us laugh.
